Sometimes we lose our way. Sometimes it takes us a few moments to remember
who we are. Eventually, we find our way home . . . Blue Sky is the epitaph
of such experiences.
As an artist with my fingers in many pies, it can be difficult to exist
in the world as a professional and pursue creative endeavors simultaneously.
Stretched beyond my means, I had to buckle down and put the projects
that meant the most to me on hold for a while.
Through a series of incidents, I got involved in multimedia as a commercial
artist -- the right time and place. Simultaneously, I used music to
release an inherent need to create. That nagging feeling within to do
something more. Evenings spent plucking away by candlelight were the
catalyst, for music became the only outlet available to a part of me
left sleeping.
After a few years of this, I became involved in a start up company.
A friend in San Francisco referred me to Herbie Herbert who needed some
web design. Once involved, I met L. Henry Sarmiento II (LHS). Through
a roundabout path, buckling down eventually enabled me to record this
CD.
The experiences that ensued, such as collaborating with LHS and the
other musicians, were some of the finest moments in my life. For this
I am truly grateful. From heartbreak to enlightenment, the songs within
reflect the process of coming full circle and hitting stride.
Thanks for listening. Know that what you are hearing is the path I took
for bread and butter that eventually brought me home.
