NEWS: SO BEAUTIFUL DANCE MIX made #3 on Radio Centro Suono in Rome! "DJ MFR is turning heads all of a sudden. I like his style. For fans of Miguel Migs or Naked Music, this release is sure to find plenty of play-time in your crate. The a-side is a full vocal mix of "So Beautiful" with AmesEla providing silky smooth vocals over deep house beats, smooth synths, and string arrangements. The first cut on the b-side is the Dub mix, which is my favorite by far. AmesEla's vocal snippets adorn the track in all the right places giving this track a soulful feel without getting all queeny. The inside cut is the Original mix which layers AmesEla's vocals over snappy snares, old-school house organs, and a live bassline." - CoyWest, 12" Reviews "Another (at least
to me) new west coast label offering a strong vocal production by DJ MFR
aka Marco Celone. A bumpy groove with wicked keys and vocalist AmesEla
who is blessing us with her talent. She's giving the track that extra
soulful edge."
- Michael Fossati, Spirit of House, 2002 12" Reviews. "A sultry sophisticated vocal from AmesEla over a groovy and smooth instrumental. Sexy keys and a solid garage feel to the track will make it a choice for the vocal DJs. My first experience with Cosmic Flux and hopefully not my last." - Andrew Reid, Phantasm,

Referred to affectionately as "eclectic", AmesEla is the reflection of musical noodling in combination and influence of collaborator L. Henry Sarmiento, II and other talented musicians. AmesEla brings an unlikely marriage between blues, electronic and urban pop -- all derived from pure unadulterated expression and song writing. Funky jazz, deep lyrics and progressive beats, AmesEla's range of vocals compliments this salad of sound with twists of the gritty low end all the way to alto soprano. <Order "BLUE SKY". BLUE SKY made Top Ten and has been noted as a "Hot Mover" in Alternative. "Blues Lives!
Great blues number. Really nicely orchestrated. I think the singer is
holding back a beautiful voice just a bit. The musicians are quite good.
I could hear the influence of blues men/women, especially Bonnie Rait
in the style. I think an instrumental solo at one point may offer something
to this song. The flow was really good. Great Blues number. " - Travis White - Warm Springs, Georgia, GARAGE BAND.COM Photo of AmesEla
